The Hudack Scale of
All computer problems can be scored on my scale. It's easy and efficient
for both beginners and experts. It's an inverse scale, meaning that low
scores are good, and high scores are bad.
Measure all problems by how many times
you mutter a cuss word under your breath before the silly thing works
the way it's supposed to.
For example: Messing up your password because Caps Lock is on probably
rates a 1.
An installation that works flawlessly scores a 0 (zero)!
Receiving an incorrect product order for your eagerly awaited digital
camera might get a 2.
Installing firewall software for the first time probably scores higher.
A crashed Exchange server scores pretty high, I'm told. I've never had
